Adi Binyamin's Reader's Journal #2

Dear Mrs. Zrihen,
I'm reading this book called Harriet the Spy, written by Louise Fitzhugh. I never read a book published by her but this book that I'm reading is very interesting so I'm assuming she has more interesting books. I wanna tell you about the events in the story.
The characters in the book are Harriet, Sport, Ole Golly, Jane, and all of Harriet's friends who found out what she had wrote in her secret notebook about them. Harriet wants to be a spy so she writes down everything she observes that is going on around her and what she thinks about those people. She also goes nearby people's houses and spies on them from their window.
The setting of the book takes place at Harriet's house, school, and on the street where Harriet goes to spy on people. All of those settings take time during the day. The weather is nice without a rain or storm in sight.
The conflict of the story is that Harriet lost her notebook for her spying routine and she can't find it.
Some of her friends saw the book and read it. They saw all the negative comments Harriet had wrote about them.  No body wanted to be her friend or talk to her.
My personal feelings about the book are that it's interesting but some parts don't really make sense. Besides that, the book is adventurous because it's a spy who goes to many different places to spy on people. It's also a mystery because when Harriet writes in her notebook, she only writes what she hears and comes back next day to hear more about her victim. The mystery part is that she discovers each day a new secret about that person.
Next Week I will right about the plot, resolution, and my least and favorite parts because I didn't get to those parts in the book yet. Hoped you liked the rest of my events.

                                                                   Love,
                                                                        Adi<3

  1. Dear Adi,
This sounds like a very interesting book! To tell you the truth, I have never actually read a book about a spy! I will read your next post to find out more! Maybe I will be able to read it!
I have a few questions. Why does Harriet want to spy on people? Doesn't she think that it's rude? I would obviously think that that is very rude! How did she lose her notebook? Did she leave it somewhere by accident? Thank you for writing such a great post!
    Sincerely,
    Stav Sharoni

  2. Dear Stav, I'm happy you're thinking about reading this book. It is very interesting. I also think it's rude to spy on people but that's what spies do.(:
Harriet spies on people because she likes to know what's happening to those people and what they do in life.
She doesn't really think about if it's rude or not, she just wants to know what people do at home, where they go, and basically know what's going around with them. Spies don't really think about what's the right or wrong thing to do.(:
I just know she lost her notebook, I don't know how. If it will say as I continue reading then I'll tell you.
I bet she left her notebook somewhere on accident because obviously she won't leave it on purpose so people will read what she wrote about them.:P
Thank you Stav for those questions and I hope I answered them the way you asked!

    Love

  3. Dear Adi,
This sound like a cute book! I have heard many good reviews about this book.I think I might read it. I have a few questions. Did Harriet write and spy on her friends?
What was one mystery she solved that was interesting to you?
I hope you enjoyed your book.

  4. Dear Gabby,
I'm happy you're also thinking about reading the book because that's what Stav said!!:) It is a good book.
Harriet doesn't spy on her friends, she just writes in her journal what she thinks about them.
I don't know what you mean by a mystery she solved because she's a spy and she just spies on people. I also didn't finish reading the book and if there was a mystery she solved, then I'll tell you!!:)
Thank you Gabby for those questions! Hope you got some ideas about the book!!:)

    Love,

  5. Dear Adi,
Thank you so much for commenting on my blog. You asked me a few questions, so let me answer them:
I think the theme of the book is family. I say that because Peter and Fudge are like any normal brothers. They fight. I don't know one pair of kids that don't fight. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!! Yes, I would actually have a lot. But the problem is its not 6th grade level. Maybe 3rd. My brother and I actually fight but like any family we love each other. We don't say it, but we do. What I think about my brother is ugly, but every girl likes him so maybe it's just me because he is my brother. But at the end of the day, we love each other and that will never change. Thank you for liking my blog. See you in school!!!:)

    Love,
    Mia.
